I decided to take a morning session at my spot at Witbank on Saturday and managed to land 8 fish between 1.5 and 1.8kg in a question of 3 hours on senko’s and jigs

Woot.
Gratz Johan.

I'd also like to know what a Mteri trip will cost.  I'm very, very interested in that. Have been for a while, but did not have enough people to go with.
I think there's a minimum of 6 per trip (that's what I heard the last time).

Will let you know when i get the final amount Vern and LGF. As far as i know the trip i am going on, will only have 4 people on it. The two gides and then my self and somebody else

Vern & LGF i got the cost. The total cost for 6 days of fishing at Mteri in June will cost R6000 incl meals, transport from JHB excl drinks.

So my self and bigbass will be smashing some monsters in June

K, so you saying there's only space for 4 peeps, 2 guides, you and Biggbass, now my Q is do you know of any other guided tours or perhaps if yur guides can accomodate yet another poor addict or two or should the rest of us just try and get numbers to see which company can accomodate x ammount of members and then maar go that route?

You know, I've been pondering if I should go to Mteri or not.

Someone mentioned to me the other day, who has been there, it's a different ball-game those bass :whisp.

So I'm thinking, I'd rather stick to the bass here and go to Mteri when I old or getting hints of Alzheimers' :alien.

LGF,  I'm definitely going to Bass Lake this week coming. Johan mentioned that he might go as well.  We just need to work on a date that accommodates everyone wanting to go.
:vic:: Anyone wanting to go is most welcome; it would be great to see the faces behind the avatars on this forum. Please come, you know you'll regret it later :fbash

Well when I started looking for a trip to go on I was told that this trip was for 4 people. I will speak to the guide and see if we can’t accommodate 1 more person and that way the cost might be a bit lower as well. Well usually they want numbers but all depends on how man boats they take. Most guided services require about 5 people. And that would not be a nice trip as how do you fit 5 paying customers and 1 guide on to a boat. But I will give our guide a call today and see what he can do and will let you know a bit later today.
