Back after a few years trying my luck again at catching the big one. Since Witbank is my home town decided to try my luck at Witbank dam ( municipality side ).
The dam is lekker full and only a few places for papgooiers, We chose the furthest point at the dam. Weather was on /off ( warm then cool / wind gust then nothing)
Our spot had quite a few snags and water grass and most of the timesome part of the rig broke off. I used the rietvlei rig.
i havent fished here for many moons so i tried the following approach. Callers on the mielie bom and softer takers on the hooks. No luck with Raptor, Aniseed, almond, Honey etc.Tuff day at the water but rewading.
Already planning next session and doing some research.
If there is any advise or guidance. Please share.
