Winterstrand to Cove Rock

Howzit guys. I'm moving to East London in the new year & I'd like to get some information on the Winterstrand area. All I have is Google earth to go off and the it looks like one can do a bit of everything down there (eds fishing).

What is the safety of this area as I'll probably be doing most of my fishing alone. Unless I meet a buddy along the way.

I was down there over December. Not to fish but walked from cove rock resort to the rock. It's an amazing area. I wouldn't swear to it but because you have to walk so far from either winter strand or cove rock resort, "which is completely closed off with a security estate" I'd say it's fine. On my walk I saw quite a few lone anglers. One guy got a really nice Steenie and some blue fish "bronze bream" also came out. Stunning area with so many options to fish.
Hope you enjoy living in East London. My old home town. The City is pretty run down but the coast is amazing.

If you dont mind I'll give you the best advice that you will receive the whole of 2026.
The best and quickest way to learn how to fish a new area properly, is join a fishing club.
It will improve you as an angler 300% in a years time, and you will get to know the areas
