Hey guys...I recently moved from my home town, HOWICK, to the concrete jungle in gauteng.  Fishing at midmar is great fun...in the summer.  Now that i have moved up this side i hardly get the time to go to kzn.  I am planning a trip in the winter to the dam...I would like to know if anybody has any tips regarding baits?I know my summer baits, but have limited experience in the winter baits section.  Your help will be much apprecaited!!

I was there mid-winter last year.....fishing was veeeeery slow, however I did get a few pulls and lost a monster of a fish in about 30' of water on some old trees structure to the right (facing dbn) of the dam. There is a big dead tree visable just a few meters in the water. Use your sounder around that area and you will pick up the structure.

Cheers
