Wind and Fishing

Starting in Natal and moving through Eastern Cape and Cape Town and up the West Coast

What wind do you look for when fishing:fishn and why?

cause I am sure there is alot of ppl out there like me who would like to know so part with thy blessed knowledge and enrich us mere mortals lol

Hey raggieman. Dont know to much, els I would have cought lots more fish in my live. I can tell you though that we fish the langebaan lagoon with alot more sucses when the SE was bloving hard for about 3 for days. If Im not mistaken its deu to the fact that the wind blows the warmer water out the lagoon into the bay. This brings the stumpnose along to the side of the harbour and the spreeuwalle. For Jacobsbaai a NW and a bit of a upset sea and fowl weather is the call for the cow sharks to come to play.

Up Natal side, a moderate N/Easter is good. Airates the water well and gives it a nice chop. We normally have 2-3 days n/easter then the swing to a west which totally lifts the sea.

Personally I don't look for wind when I am fishng Calm weather suits me fine lol lol
