Hi guys, will be fishing at Willows the 29 June. Have been there for scratching and I think I covered most of the species( Big kolsterte, zebra, rockcod, hottie and small cracker) except for a big cracker and Galjoen. Can anyone give advice for this area and what you guys had success with and targeting big cracker and Galjoen

I have had the pleasure of fishing there a few times as my brother lives in PE. We have almost consistently caught elf there every outing and quite a few small to medium kabeljou.I always cast a chokka bait first for this reason . You are spot on with the reef species, nice spot for bronze bream in summer. that place also holds the most giant strepies I have ever seen. My brother caught a decent cracker there.Galjoen I have hunted there in big seas and only got kolstert.

Where do you catch the cob? I normally fish at the rocks in front of the tidepool with the braais. I know about the elf, but they just seem to not like my pillie baits 😂

You have to walk around and scratch the area. we always fished the area to the right of willows. just on the other side of the willows fence. Special place fantastic memories fishing with my big brother. just to add those big strepies are thick as soup so using one as bait worked well for kabeljou and elf. Keep in mind that we fished there in summer.
