This is starting to become a problem!! The fact that my wife is outfishing is waaaay too often!!

Saturday was her birthday, so for ONCE, we actually never went fishing!! Ended up taking her on a combat simulation flight on a Huey Helicopter!! HUGE fun for anyone!!

Sunday morning the wifes gets up at 8:30am and states, quite firmly, "i need to go fishing!!" My response, with bleary eyes and all, :"at this hour?? Its faaaar too late to go now........" Needless to say, by 9:30am the boat is packed and hooked up to her car. Quick call and Gamie is also available. After a leisurely drive, we get to Simons Town. There's a area that i've always wanted to explore but never got around to it. So, at 11:00am we finally get to launch. Knowing it was going to be a recon mission, i took only one box of bait with.

With a flat sea and no wind, we stop the boat. Shallow water, 10m deep with very good reefs and fish showing on the echo sounder. First drop and the wife pulls up a 2kg Red Steenbras!!! After a huge celebration, the fish is released. Next, she starts catching the small romans two at a time!! All the while, me and Gamie and still sitting fishless!!:swear After release a considerable amount of small red romans, we get her to agree to move to another spot. Well, regardless of where we went, the scenario simply stayed the same!! Myself and Gamie finally did redeem ourselves, but the wife had already given us a proper hiding by then!!

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Picture below: anyone know where in that is??

To those interested, this class fish was caught VERY, VERY close to shore!! In the past, i've caught plenty of romans here from shore. The area is very foul and you do lose plenty of tackle, but there is PLENTY of roman. Most are small, so if you do fish there, please return the small ones. Since the waters no deep, they can easily be returned succesfully!! Drop me a pm if you want to know where to fish from the rocks!!:D:D
