Why are we angry at each other?

I just received by mail a copy of the latest Julias M posting on Facebook and don't know what to make of it.

Hate speech, threats against life, limb and family.

Are we to take it with a pinch of salt, until it happens to you or me, what then?
How do we react without opening yourself up to retribution and becoming the target yourself?

I've been in a bank robbery where six people died, many Sealiners have had it even closer to home.

What now?

History is always written by the side that wins the fight, no matter if he was right or wrong.

One thing is for sure. We should examine ourselves closely before we decide to fly off on anther tangent here on Sealine.
This is our safe haven, where we can interact and communicate of things that are precious to us and that we need to protect.

I'll put a guard in front of my mouth in an attempt to be considerate to other folks interpretations, maybe that would encourage others to do the same.

Debating should never become personal & should focus on exposing the reality of the discussion. Politics is a touchy subject, & it will always bring up some emotion, but I think reading different viewpoints from such a diverse group as here often sheds some light on things...you know...hearing both sides of the story, checking the other side of the coin.....which leads to understanding & consciousness. But venting is maybe better left to a session with the punching bag.
