Point road and near the docks is always a good place or check out the classifieds in the Mercury, but boet the chicks are loose that side, you dont need bucks!!

Big Bay - We still collect regularly but I hear they dont allow Vaalies!!!!

White mussels are plentifull at Jean Middlebank and surrounds right now. It usually feeds between the low and high tide mark on the pushing or dropping tide.

Very easy to spot : Walking barefeet , place your weight on your heels as the water pulls back , the mussel spouts out the water it feeds in , leaving two tiny holes.

You should be able to collect your full quota(50)within the hour.Keep your permit handy.

Much easier than working two rods in search of the elusive big one!
