White mussels are plentifull at Jean Middlebank and surrounds right now. It usually feeds between the low and high tide mark on the pushing or dropping tide.
Very easy to spot : Walking barefeet , place your weight on your heels as the water pulls back , the mussel spouts out the water it feeds in , leaving two tiny holes.
You should be able to collect your full quota(50)within the hour.Keep your permit handy.
Much easier than working two rods in search of the elusive big one!
