Hi there
If it has small whiskers next to its mouth then it is most likely a yellow .
But it looks like a ghielemien to me

I think it is a juvenile smallscale yellowfish. Ghielemeintjies usually caught in Harties is the Threespot - and I cant see any spots. It is not a papermouth yellowfish. Scales too small for largescale yellow also found in Harties. The colour also resembles the smallscale found in Harties.

As far as I know there are only Lowveld Large Scale yellowfish found in Harties.

We found smallscale in gillnets, and the research team working on Harties also got smallscale in nets. But the largescale is much more abundant in Harties. Papermouth is in Harties. Rene Sada caught a smalmouth bass years ago in Harties.
