I used to record those shows. Most of those nights I was working. I liked the music, never had mutch time for Barney though. I was mutch more of a Chris Prior fan.
Hey Nepps/ Raptor.... What about the Velvet Underground?
Nico has to have one of the best female voices of all time.
Debby Harry is another good female vocalist.
Chris Prior was brilliant he got me through many exams. Where is he now? Maybe I should ask is he still alive the Old Rock PRofessor

Chris is still alive. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy a few years ago. He fighting it well though and still gets on his bike , now and again.
I was told that he has the biggest , private, rock collection in the world. I would not be surprised. He's got more music than I have ever seen.

Haha, Goth fisherman are cool. Speaking of Goth, I have pulled out the old In Flames of late, they still rock.

Dunno if you okes have an album that you always play before you head out on a fishing trip? During an early morning drive to the coast, I always like to open up with Incubus - Morning View. Such a classic beach album

I see the metal thread has been resuscitated and, while I have my ticket to Metallica, I am fan of the broader rock genre.

Fiddling around on YouTube last night and I discovered a chap called Wilko Johnson- amazing rhythm guitarist. His bassist is pretty good too. Real "pub rock".

Also rediscovered the Dropkick Murpheys- "Celtic Punk", raucous and loud loud loud.

Victor, you're my type of DJ,lol, except you're giving away our secrets regarding what model body our car drives, lol!

Don't forget to remember Bowie, try him again, lots to listen to and have a listen to Gerry Rafferty, remember Baker Street, well there's some other good stuff of his, surprised me that I missed out previously.

I've grown fond of Kings Of Leon,Cold Play as latter music I've discovered, and still enjoy Wings/ Paul Mc Cartney,Stones,as mentioned Fleetwood Mac,ESP Stevie Nix's great vocals, one or two Hot Chocolate songs,Tears for Fears,Mamas And Pappas, etc.

I'm more selective now,and ballads are a no no,and prefer feel good sounds as opposed to heartache stuff, much as my wife remembers days people have passed and I rather recall their birthdays.

Cheers.

Ha Ha -  great reply - age is just a number - Music is what its all about. Its what makes me feel alive. I told my Daughter - if ever I end up in a wheelchair - unable to communicate - to make sure to takes me to watch live Music - just to keep my heart pumping.  How about Rafferty  - still listen to him - sadly he passed on recently. Old School is still the best - but there are legends in the making - with the likes of the new era - John Mayer , Joe Bonamassa etc. Look up on You Tube - a song called " Midnight in HArlem" by Trucks and Tedeschi Band - brilliant.

By the way any one spot my Typpo - ( Johan Lennon ) -- LOL  -  John Lennon

He Offerred so much, asked for nothing in return, except friendship.
