What lures for Bass lake

Anyone found a particular lure that works well??

Flukes, junior flukes, swimbaits, trick worms, finesse worms ....natural colours: Baby bass, watermelon red, watermelon gold, watermelon seed.

Add tiny brush hogs and Lil' Critter craws to Basslovers list and the colour Green Pumpkin red and you're set for serious fun.

Ok so i went to Bass lake. Caught nothing but it was a nice place will prob visit again

Fishing is tough there at the moment...need to go super small or super light tackle to catch them, the fish took a beating this season and is very cautious.

Is there any permit requirement for fishing Bass here in Gauteng?

Yes you need a fishing permit, costs about R15 a year and you can get this at some of your tackle shops.

Not taking anything away from you or your abilities, but, you most probably had way many fish on the line, you just didn't know it, they take the lures very very softly off late, 95% of the time on the drop, or just when it hits the bottom, next time if it feels like anything extra is added (or like you're slightly stuck) strike!  The big ones mostly gets busted on sight fishing......

I'll most probs pop in there 2day, in between the duties for the day..... will report if I did manage to go.
