Does anyone have any info on the camp site indicated by the red arrow? It is at bloemhof dam on the western bank, north of the bridge.

Name?

If not mistaken, it is under control of the North West parks board .

Perhaps try and phone the SAP Bloemhof or the caravan park below the dam wall .Think they normally have an ad in the Tight lines and Bank Angler magazines .

It is the North West Bloemhof reserve. It has elementary ablustions and extends from the bridge N to Volstruisbaai to Jag Kamp and then on to Verlatenkraal.

In all around 22km of shoreline most of which is very shallow but with masses of fish.

They do not take bookings and gates are open all round. if you enter after hours they will visit you the next day at the shore and collect fees for your stay

please note that NWP Board has now also raised there entry fees for fishing and overnight stays, we were there in May and it cost 2 people one day stay over R150

Thanks for the info, i just want to make sure,

1. Can i camp there with my caravan

2. Can i use my boat there (14ft Arrowhead with 60 merc)
