What happened to the proposed Wall of Remembrance?

Reading the recent notice of ol' Mouldie's demise it reminded me of my proposal some time ago (is it two years ago already?!) that Admin consider creating a special "Wall of Remembrance" for our fallen fellow Sealiners. I recall that the suggestion was met with general support, with the result that Simen promised that the "powers that be" would seriously consider it. Unfortunately nothing was heard about it again and as is with life, everything went back to normal and it was business as usual.....until we learn of yet another stalwart leaving us!

So what happened with this proposal? Personally I would like to know what was decided and why? You chaps need to understand that there is a camaraderie that develops among the serious Sealiners that goes further than simply reading the same posts on the same internet forum. I have met total strangers on strange beaches and suddenly become great fishing buddies when we both realise that we are talking to fellow Sealiners. And when such a special fishing buddy departs, I would like to remember him through such a "Wall of Remembrance".

Well said, 100% agree with you. I am not sure who'd all passed on?

A fair number of regulars left us over the last few years.

It also seems that these threads are deleted after a while as I can't seem to trace them again. I remember writing a poem for one of the guys, that Tony (Reefman) eventually read out at the chap's funeral on behalf of all Sealiners. I have since lost the original words and tried to find the thread again, but it seems to have disappeared.

Anyway, if one has such a wall and Admin can control it so it doesn't get cluttered with meaningless "stuff", it could provide a nice personal touch to this site. You know....caring for our fellow fishing buddies?
