What containers/pots/crucibles are you guys using

If you're looking for lead, I suggest the tyre shops, they normally have lots of old lead weights that they take off the rims when balancing.
For melting lead, use a cast-iron potjie (sacrilege, I know,) and a soup ladle to pour. For heat, use a gas stove. Otherwise mama will have your goolies if you use the kitchen stove. Also use moleskin gloves to protect your hands, and wear safety glasses.

I have a mate in the sinker and Bass Jig industry and I imported a few of these for him.
We mad a few mods on the pot, can pour large jigs without it layering just pre-heat the mold.
An all in one smelter and pourer. We have since found a better one casts around R4300 but I don't have a pic on it. There are a few local gunshops (Jhb) that sell these for re-loaders and the SA Agent is a gunshop in Randburg somewhere.

What is a 'large amount' ?
If what you said above is true re the large amounts, then you have been given the right advice already. Google for it, you won't beat spincasting especially if you are going to have re-runs.
