hi gents i have fished the west coast both competative and social , , cow shark do frequent soverby and varken vlei all year round , but dont leave out the other spots that work just as well , Jacobs bay has also produced some buses in my days there and this was only two tears ago , and they still worry the kob anglers in that area, spreeuwalle at night and early morning also has its fair share , we alway catch them when trying for bronzies , they dont leave a bonnie head alone , the spit to the right also southerly wind on a dropping tide by the lapa at soverby at night , man you can see the cows breach but as the sun sets and at night , dont bother too much with floating yor bait , we never did and caught hundreds of them , the conditions are great for them now , but a north wind generally makes them sluggish , any bait will work , the softer an older the better , if you really want some info look up Raymond Campbell from west coast hes on Face bOok aswell , he lives in laaiplek and fishes the area often with is wife elsabe who is a ladies springbok , good luck
