According to wat i know a fish finder only looks direcly under the boat at the back were the transduser sits and if you are driving and you see a drop off ,you have alrady past over it and only were the screen starts (on the left hand in your case)is wat is directly under you the rest of the screen you alredy passed. So you could say that were the screen begin is the back of youre boat and the rest derectly behind you.

Assuming you have a standard unit and not a forward looking or side scanning unit, then the depth is measured directly under the transducer. The screen moves so that what is on the left is what you have gone over, and what is on the right is what you are currently going over (assuming your machine scrollds from right to left). The scroll speed can be adjusted from the menu on most units. If you are stationary, then although the image moves, it is just repeating itself.

Well done Marno:clap12

I hope my luck changes next year and that I will also be able to post a photo like that!

Congratulations and hope there will be many more.

PS: Did you name your boat yet?
