So decided to go fish my private spot over the weekend to see if the fish are still active.
Got there early morning and was surprised to find the water level about a meter higher than normally. Normal spots was flouded and luckily getting the boat into the water was possible.
Fished for about 10 minutes and it was game on. The fish came out and weighed 1,94kg. Tried the same spot for a few minutes and caught the second one that weighed in at 1,68kg.
I noticed a strange movement along some weeds in the water and decided to use my topwater bait as a test to see if they go for it. The bait hit the water and i barely had time to get ready when the fish knocked it. I had my hands full with this one because it kept going for the dead trees underneath the surface to break the line. The fish came out and she was the largest that i caught so far weighing in at 3,02kg.
I also saw some otters at the spot (well i think it's otters) which was nice to watch .
All and all i had a great day.
Total bag of fish for day came to about 13 fish.
I would have loved to have posted some pictures here but my cell phone fell into the water about 3 months ago and i am using a old Nokia 3310 since then (not photo capable).
This is my first time fishing where my fingers (thumbs) acctually started bleedind.
Happy to say that the fishing is just as good now as 2 months ago. I hope that this coming weekend will be just as promising.
