Weekend fishing report

Well not very good at this but here goes.............

We went down to the local river,myself ,Ken and my girls who are there to protect us from all the baddies that we talk about all the time.

We got there around 2pm to cast for mullet,mud bream,and the odd mud prawn.....took for ever to get a couple of mullets.....
.
Finely we get to our spot were we fished till around 12pm were we got a couple of Barbell (4)  A pirch of decent size and a nice Rock salmon..all the fish were released except for the Rock salmon which i havent tasted so he`s off to the braai this friday when I get my boy who loves fish braai`s

Wow don`t know whats up with my camera but check the dates out all these pics were taken on the 20/02/2010    ( now i feel like a dick lol )

Talked Ken to go in and unwind my line from the trees , not a happy chap at that time of  night  LOL

My protection , they wern`t amused about fishing until 12 so they went to sleep so much for looking after us

Hi Jerry

Thanks for the update. Sorry I couldn't make it this weekend but have been on holiday the last few weeks. I still don't believe it was a rock salmon that chopped my mullet in half last time we fished there - unless it was a very big one :fst::lol:1. Will join you guys again soon.

It must of been , it`s the only fish with teeth lol,   we caught again this weekend  , we have started fishing a spot that we used to years ago....come join us this weekend coming if you free
