Weather relevance to bass fishing

Hi

I am having a hard time trying to find some info on how bass react to different weather and i was hoping that someone could just give me the basics on what is the prime weather for bass and what is not.

Please tell me if wind is good or bad for bass, that always gets me.

Any help would be great.

Cheers

cloudy is good... Early morning and afternoon. Bass don't like too sunny weather. Rain and wind can be a good thing... they create disturbances on and in the water and as a result the fish are less weary to your lure breaking the surface...

BUT... I'm sure everyone will agree with me here, there's always a fish willing to bite if you willing to try... There is no rules bru, if you feel like fishing, give it a try... see what happens and find the pattern for each place you fish. Different places favour different conditions...

Cold water bass go deep as water is wamer deeper.

Warm water Bass go into shallow stucture.

Over cast warm water good for topwater

Sunny cold water good for deep fishing.

Overcast and even light rain is good.

Heavy rain causes the water surface to heat up and then bass go deep.

Stained water go bright

Clear skys and clear watergo clear

Dark skys go dark

Cold water fish slow

Windy weather is best to fish against the bank that the wind is blowing on as the wind keeps the bait fish there.

Confidence in what baits you are fishing is an important factor

There is so much and there are the general rules but the fish do not read the rule book and anything can happen, experience

:welcomesea:Bud, please define warm, cold and deep water, if you don't mind? please?

For the purpose of Bass fishing on Dams:

Water temprature levels would always be specific to a certain body of water. Eg Midmar dam has a lower avergae temperature to Inanda Dam and so you would need to consider this for each specific body of water, so you need to get to know the water you are fishing.

As an example

Warm for Inanda would be from 24-30deg

Warm for Midmar would be from 21-27deg

Midmar coud get as cold as 11 deg or even less, whereas Inanda very seldom goes below 18deg.

Albert falls generally has similar temparatures to Midmar

I would consider fishable deep water to be 6 - 20m

Midwater is 2 - 6m

Shallow water 0 - 2m

Thanx Bud, i thought as much but just wanted to check, up here the spot on temp ranges between 21 to 24 celcius (on the pieces of water I know, anyhows).  The depths are a bit out (my depth scale I mean) I always thought of shallows as the depth where i can still see the bottom in clear water and this relates to roughly 1 m max in the clean waters i know and then mid range to me would be around 1m to 4m and there on i considered deep water, but thanx again for your info, makes for looking at things slightly diffirent...
