Cheers Orange! That would be great if you can post any news. This is the first time that  a mate and I will be going out to the Point. i hear the launching spot is Buffels Bay for the Point?

I have only been out from Millers point before and rowed down to Smitwinkle bay.

Perhaps we'll see you out there!

Hi Darren,

We will be going on Sun morning early. Look out for 2 guys on fishingski/kayaks, and another guy on an inflatable. Are you also going out this weekend?

Point looks good for Sat and Sun. Water temp is a lottery . Was 14.5 at SW reefs last weekend but apparently they picked up some early fish on the western side. Was 10.5 two weeks before!!!I was kreefing round Cape Maclear side and in between picked up nothing on the troll round Bellows. There were a couple of big sets so I headed in before getting.Apparently there were some very small yellowfin sighted about 5 miles out. They landed one but chucked it back it was so small(Sub 3.2 kilos?) I hope there will be something on Sunday. See you guys out there.

Okay, so here is what i have gathered....

Swell looks to have dropped off(I live in Noordhoek) and wind has gone NW already at roman rock

Realtime

Everyone was quite quiet at the Fishing shop but they did mention some small yellowfin are around close in.

They also said that they killed the yellowtail (sw reefs)on Saterday before the water turned cold. Conditions are very similar for this weekend except for swell size(thankfully) so me is thinking that tomorrow might be better than Sunday. Only problem is some mist and rain 30% is predicted.(30% for CPT is like 80% at the point).

You know what I think I'll just go both days.................see you guys out there....

Thanks a mil Orange. Can you tell me roughly a bit about SW reefs. How far is it from the point, and could we row there?

Cheers
