hi just came back from jbay and lost huge fish at wavecrest Think it was a big ray
I stike and it felt like i hooked a jetski Ran 250m off and then only i could turn it battle started at 18h05 that i will never forget and i lost it at 21h09 3 hrs and 4 min after fisjerman next to me helped and continue the battle for at least 30 minutes and lost it in the waves close by could not see the fish I was finished ,my line was 25 kg Perline best in the world my opinion and my strop all still fine but hooklink becauce of battle was ruff of all pulling over the rocks and then broke 10 cm from hook.
used shad head and i put it close by in a sandy gullie
guy earlier during sun shine next to me caught a white steenbras of about 10 kg
i caught at walskipper in aston also white steenbras of 1kg released and blacktail of 1kg and big shad that i kept and eat.
