Hi All

Is these motors any good , I see they say it is interchangeable with Yamaha parts? Anyone with experience on these? Cannot find anything on the internet. Same class as Parsun and Seanovo?

Thanks

Never heard of it, but if you're heading in that direction, my personal opinion would be to opt for Parsun. They are well established and have built quite a name for themselves in terms of Chinese brands. I've owned one and it was exceptionally good value.

If you plan to use these engines for fresh water use then go ahead, but for salt water stay away from the likes of parsun and these cheaper engines, I have heard some horrible stories as they are made of substandard materials and corrode at an excellerated rate compared with the proper brand names,at the end of the day you get what you pay for and goedkoop is duurkoop

Parsun is fine in salt. Half of Oz uses them and they're a picky bunch. Not saying it's equivalent to the Japs or Merc, but then again, neither is the price.

You will easily be able to find a good Yam/Suz/Merc for that price on Gumtree... and yes, I have had some great deals on GTree before. Just don't pay deposits up front etc. Also keep an eye out for Tohatsu... great little motors.

“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When
you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay
too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you
bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The
common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a
lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well
to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will
have enough to pay for something better.”
