The Quarry is pretty decent and safe now Its now private property so you do have to contribute some "cool drink" money circa 80-100 rand to the guards.

Some of the guards accept a bribe and let you in, others are scared of their supervisor showing up and them losing their jobs, so they don't let you in.
I reckon I'm going to keep on trying to get in, and take the number of the guards that accept a bribe, then I can check their schedules with them and know when I can go fish there...

Thinking about going past there one afternoon after 5pm to check it out. Does Anyone regularly fish there on week afternoons?

Unfortunatly you cant fish there. I tried bribing the guard a while back and they where having non of it!

I fished the venue from 2009 to 2016. It was convenient, for me and I never had a security incident there, I always left a 20 rand note in the windscreen wiper, and the money as never taken.
I managed by PB there of 3.3kgs, on a Rapala DT20.
It took me while to get the hang of the place. It is becoming a retirement village now, I am very sad we cant fish there anymore. There are some massive bass in that quarry. I have 7 years of good and some frustrating times there.
