Want stock farm dam with indiginious fish

Hi

I want to stock our farm dam with local fish. We are in the Breede River valley and have a lodge on our farm. ( http://www.excelsiormanor.co.za  ) I want to provide some fishing for the guests. I am thinking of a tilapia like blue kurper and something from the yellowfish family like breede river witvis. I am planning on keeping the dam clean of carp and barbel with regular trot lines. ( Carp really mess with drip irrragation due to excess sediment in the water). Does anybody have any ideas or thoughts on this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards, Jacques

Speak to Francois Claasen ... he's in Bonnievale. He owns outdoor arena and is a fish breeder/farmer.

He should be able to advise you on what to do. He is also a very good artlure(Springbok) if I'm not mistaken and may be able to help you with obtaining permits for stocking witvis. And with catching them.
