Wanna Catch Fish

Hi,

 

I'm looking for some places on the Vaal to take a group of kids fishing. It's going to be their first time so want them to atleast pull out something if possible...want to know hows the water levels, if anyone has been this pass weekend, and also for this time of the year what bait should i be using?

The vaaldam is pretty full. So there is a lot of fish up close. If you're just going for the day I would recommend Boschkop or College Plaas. The usual is working. Good feed, sweet white dough, floaties. You should definitely get fish at these two venues.

Flavors are Devilfork(yellow activator)
                  Pink sweets.

Should i say flavors that worked for me. Just go very early to these venues, they get packed.

Thanx for your response. You dont have GPS co-ordinates by any chance? is college plaas the UJ island? If not, do you how the fishing is at that spot?

That area use to be called Island shores. Haven't fished that side for more tham 2 years. It use to be very good as well. I'll check on my gps. Think i've got co-ords for boschkop.
