We went launched from Gordons Bay on saturday around 10am. Went looking at a couple of spots and saw a 2 boats anchored. Went to ask them what's happening and they said it was smal fish in the water. We dropped anchor cos that was the busiest we've seen the sounder whole day. After only catching and releasing small streepies and we headed off looking for more fruitfull spots (as well as everybody else). Just couldn't find the fish so we headed closer to the harbour as the wind started picking up a bit. Dropped anchor just outside the harbour by bikini beach. I had a lot of old bait that i wanted to get rid of so i started chumming. Not too long and there were mullet feeding in the chum. Then the Barbel showed up and in between the odd small cob. Was a good day for the wife (as usual) cos she was constantly pulling the fish (as usual). Tally for the day for the wife  was sieker around 10 barbel and 3 cob (2 undersized) next was my buddies with about 9 barbel and 2 undersized cob and 9 barbel and 1 undersized cob. Then there was me that caught a whole 3 barbel. I was humbled yet again by the wife and so was one of my friends who is a club fisherman.

All undersized fish and all barbel were returned

Here's a pic of the wife with her 51cm cob
