VINTAGE VIKING SKI-BOATS

Hi folks
I would love to find owners of old vintage Viking Monohull Ski-boats. Are there still any around?
I bought an ugly old lady and rescued her from the bushes where she was left for the past 15 years. No cover...nothing. I think she was on her way to become a pot for plants.
As i am olso old and ugly, i feel sorry for her and i am going to do my absolute best to bring her back to life again and get her ready and beautifull for Prom night😂
Maybe run a thread of the steps here with photos and discussions etc.
What do you think?

Standing in the open for 15 years....even the rims and bearings were rusted solid. First had to remove the drums (could unskrew the wheel nuts), get new bearings, new rims and decent 2nd hand tyres just to remove her from here and get her home.

The hull was still covered / painted with gelcoat which kept the fibre intact. Stringers and bulkheads need to be replaced though. I will also redo the hull as well.

Removed transom from the inside. Sanded down to original casting fibre. Still solid. Lots and lots of sanding and grinding to do. Taking a small break for a day or two. Will post progress when i start again.20250419_120327.jpg
