Hmmm interesting rod! It needs a bit more research. The green wraps: are they spaced about an inch apart along the rod? Your description of the tubing like wraps has got me a bit, I have seen them before but usually on cheap rods which this doesn't appear to be. Give me a couple of hours to make sense of it.
Any chance I can come and see you collection? You show me yours and I'll show you mine. Kp morrits is it an intrepid? I have an elite. Absolute pigs but I love them! They were apparently everyones first reel im the uk in the fifties. Give me a call if you like.
Yeah we should organise a get together. Can't quite call mine a collection as it just stands around collecting dust... hahahaha!
Ill send you a PM and then we can discuss when and where!
Cheers for your help!

If memory serves, it is definately a KP Morrits Intrepid. Still in full working condition with a smooth action but a bit stiff when winding if I recall. Not sure if it requires some elbow grease...

Usually just less grease works. A thorough cleaning and regreasing will help. The old grease can turn into a sort of gum and jam the reel. I can't read your pm for some reason. Try again?
