One of the nicest things about a tube is the fact that if the wind blows you dont even have to think about staying in place it just happens and all your concentration and both hands are for fishing ;-)

Sorry BL what I meant is there was a full moon on Sat, at bass lake that means the night feeding is hectic and they hida all day.

The lake turning means the the thermocline has dissapated which churns up the bottom and the water is pretty dirty at the moment as all the silt on the bottom has been mixed up from surface to bottom ;-)

Yeah bass lake is too expensive to have a kak day. Going to Bronkkies instead. lmao, once you consider petrol for the boat and launch fees, bass lake is rather cheap. Oh well igronance is bliss I'll just play stupid.

pomerob, do you fish bronkies from the side or the boat? fished there once with some papgooier friends, and there was no structer on the side where we fished. it seemed like a very flat shallow 'channel' where you go into the bronkies entrance.
Am i talking cuck?
But if we walked to the end of the longish road where it bends the the left and you see a bigger body of water(dont know it thats the main bronhorstpruit dam), if you looked straight across there there was serious structure it seemed.
So how are the guys fishing there when they talk about bronkies? laughing a boat at bronkies and fishing the main dam or do some go specifically there on float tubes or bank to catch?

I skiem i've confused eveyone... haha...

I fish Bronkkies from my boat, it's a little to big for my tube. There is all sorts of structure, from lay downs, jetties, timber, old river beds, drop offs, rip rap, rocks, grass, reed, doesn't have much but it does have a bit of everything.

If you only have a tube the most condensed area for structure is the bay just before the dam wall.

Awsome you must enjoy bass lake on sunday...wish i could come but finances is a bit tough this month, im writing exams etc.

I launch most of the time from three rivers jetti and fish around there, and then also down at stone haven in vanderbijlpark and the pomp huis.
Give me a ahout when ever your in the vaal and i can show you some places.
