Hi guys

Yep - I am one of those poor lucky buggers whom are visiting the Weskus, in about a weeks time.

Just a small question, or guidence. Where or whom sells bait in this area, or do I have to haul a truck load with me. Is there spots where I can dig for mussel, and what other natural bait is available.

Any one want to fish with me from the 30 April to 4 May, are welcome.

The West coast is big, where? Go to the Laaiplek Hotel in Velddrif or Laaiplek. There is a Butchery and Eiegelaars Hardeware shop. They sell all kinds of bait, even white mussel. Also have some fishing gear. Prawns you can pump at the Berg river as you enter Velddrif.

hope ur going to enjoy the westcoast.when u come in veldrif over the bridge go to the engen garage they sell bait and rod reel combos.then at the landmark next to the engen they have a varaity of tackle.then at eigelaar marine in laaiplek there they sell bait(w-mussel,sardine and chocka) hope this wil help u.
