decided to go out for the weekend to the vaal river, plans initially fell through so we ended up at vaal rus. we arrived on saturday just after lunch.
it was quite a scorching day, after we set up we got the lines into the water.
and from there we pretty much waited and waited and waited.
the fishing was really poor across the bank, we got a small carp our neibours had only managed another small carp on the friday
our other neibour was targeting the cats and got out 3 for the duration,
on on the bites that i did get i lost them because of getting snagged up in the river i broke of quite a bit,
the fish were very active with allot of them jumping out and about
tried all combo's and flavours - mielies, worms, bread, floaties, dough etc.
the place has rondawels and challets to stay in, there is toilets and showers. as well as a swiming pool? can be a bit family freindly? the office seemed like they guessed up a price by looking at your face. the sunday morning some old man came shouting the we needed to come and pay again for a day.
