Vaal River

Well, yesterday a very good friend of mine phoned me and asked if i can join them on the vaal river for some bass fishing...

You never ask me twice for an invitation for some bass fishing. Arrived there at 13:30. Decided to throw out my line while waiting for them to come and pic me up. Third cast on a Strike King Red Eye shad next to a jetty wall i picked up a fish of 600g.

Went over to a Texas rigged wat fluke, my friend picked up another 4 keepers... Well that was that for the day and we were of the water by 6.

First time i ever fished that part of the river, must say all the structures looks great...

My folks have a spot on the Vaal, 8km from Parys. Jetty & the works. Couple of islands an good structure close to the launch site. No overcrowding of other boats etc. Let me know if you want to explore it.

Well then gentlemen, I think a weekend of fishing is at hand then sometime soon. There's a house, plenty beds, and a huge fireplace, right on the water. The locals are also very helpfull.

I have to go now. We are preparing for my second boy's arrival in July (Future BassMaster Classic Winner), bedbookings at hospital, bags that are short of supplies, nappies, the works.

Bit tough to go before August with the new baby on the way, but I'll surely make good on the offer. If you want to go before the time, send me a PM and I'll give you details. The Folks wont mind if you go.

Just told Johanvc, we round up 8 Sealine guys and go for a weekend. Even if I am only able to join for a day, I'm sure you guys could make a good fishing weekend of it.
My boat will only be ready by the end of July though^^..
