Vaal and Wilge legs of Vaaldam

Hi Guys ,

I just want to find out if you guys have made similiar observations/findings of fishing in the Vaaldam during winter. I have noticed that the Wilge river leg of the dam is more difficult and delivers less fish than the Vaal river leg during winter. I find it more difficult to determine a pattern in terms of distance/bait /dips etc when fishing the Wilge leg.

One of the possibilities why the Wilge side of the dam is more difficult to fish in winter is that the water originates from the Drakensburg and is therefore colder than the Vaal side.
