Nice to hear from you again, we started off at Caymens beach, nice fishing spot, Plety of bite, i Lost 2 Fish Visvinger lost 1, then headed off to Blakes, got a noce pull but not there to stike so missed it.
So i take it you saving your energy for the up coming boat fishing?

It was great meeting all the guys that showed up Saturdag morning
As Binx had said there were plenty of bites at Caymans Beach (thanks for showing us this spot Mickey), with him losing two and mine being lost on the reef. The weather started out miserable at first but by the time we got to Blake's it cleared up nicely.
Now to plan the next fishing trip

Just to keep you guys motivated, here's a photo of fish caught very, very, very close to Harbour Island!! My cousen's boat is moored inside Harbour Island and he often spends his summer evenings fishing with light tackle (4kg line) and a live mullet, right off his boat, STILL tied to the jetty!! I've personally seen kob of about 10-12kg's being landed by a youngster, INSIDE the harbour.

Thanks for showing us 2 great new spots. pity that we didnt get any but next time.... i do however have a question in re beach fishing. Most guys cast out then stick their rod into a holder and leave it for ages. Dont you miss out on bites and by not striking lose fish? Also your line could be in the water with no bait on it.... Please tell me the idea behind this.thanks

WRT yopu question, using a sandspike to support you rod all depends on what fish you are trying to target, if it is edible ( Kob, elf ) it is wise to hold the rod while fishing as you do sometimes miss the bites, but if targeting sharks it does take a while for the bait to be picked up by the fish, and they normally take the whole bait and speed off. so there are pro and cons of using a sand spike, if not close by when a big bronzie or spotty take line you might lose your whole rod in the process.
