Ugab River

Should you camp at mile 108 you might want a break from fishing. We did just that a couple of weeks ago. I include a couple of pics from out latest trip. Take the road to Brandberg and see the landscape change from this.

You might even be surprised and find some water

Sometimes you have visitors

That are real close

Then we prefer watching from a distance

We were camping at Ehra in the riverbed when an elephant killed one of the locals

Saw his pieces on yhe back of a police bakkie

We left after that

Sometimes we forget we are dealing with wild animals. We even had a couple who camped with 2 dogs. Unfortunately for them they had to sit on the mountain up to 02:00 with their dogs as company while a young bull elephants occupied their camp site.

Early morning a Lion walked past our shower. Luckily we did not meet.
