Tzaneen Dam

Ok reason I wanted to know is to make sure you understand the size of this water. Traditionally Tzaneen dam is what I call a points dam, as you know this dam have a huge amount of main points and a hell of a lot of secondary points. What you want to do is to focus on the main points that is where you will probably find most of your fish, you will either find them on the main points or right at the back. If you tried this and had no luck THEN only try secondary points. The structure is obvious and visible.

The lures will use is as follows:

Topwater: Popper, Plastics: flukes, brushog and dead ringer. Colors Watermelon, Green Pumpkin and Junebug if you have cloud cover. Rigs small texas and mojo.

Good luck

Just a question. Who from the guys fishing the classic will be camping at the dam or who will be in guest houses?

I would prefer a guesthouse/chalet

HA HA HA same here. But the problem I have is the gate only opens at a specific time and by then I want the boat in the water already. Plus a lot of the guest houses can’t accommodate a lot of big bass boats. So when you parked you parked and need to wait for the rest to pull out. Don’t think there are chalets there. Can’t remember from the last time I was there. Was thinking that if there are a couple of guys from here camping then we might as well get a big camp site and all camp together
