Tubing vs No Tubing

Klippies. no you cant put a clip there otherwise you cant put your lead on.
thread the leadcore through the eye of the swivel, then through the other end eye you spliced on the leadcore, pull it tight and your swivel is attached. thread your lead and insert onthe leadcore (inline setup) or thread your safety clip and rubber stop on leadcore (safety clip setup). Then tie your main line directly to the leadore spliced eye with a grinner knot. done!

there's no need to splice anything into the loop, 'cos you can attach swivels by the "loop to loop" method and, like spod said, if you have a swivel on both ends you can't attach your lead.
also remember it's important to tie your mainline directly to the leadcore and not via a swivel, otherwise you lose the safety aspect of the rig. if you have your lead between two swivels it can't drop off in the event of a fish breaking your line.

What youve done there is perfect, the other end of leadcore mustnt have any hardware, just tie m/line direct to leadcore loop/eye.
I tend to do the loop to loop as PC calls it, just feel theres more area of braid taking the load, also, if the swivel breaks??? then it's a quick swop out, splicing it like you have, would mean cutting the leadcore and resplicing it.

Yeah Pc' right, when does class start? lol! snip the sticking out piece you threaded and put a tension bar (just a round bar) through the loop you made and pull the leadcore, the snipped end should just enter the leadcore sothat its hidden, nice smooth splice just like you did there. You must use this tension bar, klippies, sothat the splice can clamp down.
klipperus, your first rig in the pic will take you far.
One tip, if you're fishing with uncoated braid hooklink, dont make it too long...keep it short-ish... dunno if others agree, but i've recently found that I lose fish if I make them longer than 15cm...(just my findings this.)
But your second rig in the pic, well I think using shrink tubing to extent the shank of the hook i a curved manner is definitely more effective. (but again its my own findings.)
