I currently have a 16 ft bow rider mini xtaski boat and would like to fit a trolling motor to it. But i have not idea on what size and strenth to buy. I also have no idea if it should be 12v or 24v and what plans need to be made regarding my current battery and if i need to add another one. The motor will be a foot control and bow mounted motor. Please any help will come in handy!

No need to go for the 24v on the mini xtaski. A 50 - 60lb 12V will be fine. I also see you go to Bilene, if you are using this boat I suggest you go for the Minn Kota Riptide saltwater series. The Riptide is compatible with the new iPilot - Wow! Now that is a pretty fantastic gadget to have.
