Trinnie A

Good evening All.

Here is a Trinidad A that i got to service.
She was in need of some serious TLC.

If you look at the photos you will see corrosion, bearings at the bottom of the driveshaft rusted, the when the driveshaft was removed a piece of the collar came out with it as the inside had already collapsed.
The right pinion bearing was rusting and the handle knob bearings were rusted and broken also. I had to machine up a earthanite bush for the bottom of the driveshaft due to the amount of damage.

Look closely at the pictures to see what i mean. This will never happen again, this same modification i do on the penn torque reels also as this same thing happens with wading even more so as there are no drain holes for water to run out.

This reel was also fitted with my Jmag(the stainless knob you see on the left side plate) adjustable cast control system to prevent overruns and backlashes. Most folks cannot cast the trinnie A as it runs too fast, this effectively solves that problem for casters on All levels as it can be adjusted to suite a novice to a seasoned professional caster as well. Backlashes cease to happen and distance increases proportionally also.

There are lots of photos on my facebook page also
Enjoy the read and the pics, Jonathan.

in terms of work remember you get what you pay for and NOTHING beats experience just like with anything even more so with reels.

This holds especially true due to the nature of the game, sea water, incorrect products and poor workmanship the perfect combination to destroy anything quickly.

This very reel is proof of just that
