Just about anywhere !! Most of the fish are right against the side in the Transkei, depending on where you are going to stay, just look for reef or dive off the points and you will be guaranteed to get fish.
dec not a great time to dive the kei. lots of rivers around, and the rains tend to spew muddy water out into the sea, ruining diving.
HITW is usually of the best of the places. good fish and lots of accomodation. If you have access to a duck etc then Mbolompo near by and good tail and leerie often shot over dec.
I've been really lucky there over dec but then you also have to budget for a few crappy days.... and when it rains you are going to wish you had a bakkie!!!
water is warm but it's still nice to swim around in a shorty.... I've been there 5 times and spent most of my time in or under the water and never had any shark activity...
what's out for river mouths after rains because animals wash down the river and attracts sharks....
good luck and have fun!!
A great spot that I went to recently is Umgazana which is a bit south of Port St Johns. Great gullies and deeper reefs just offshore!!! Diving there was awesome.
