Transkei Fishing reports?

heard some nice size shad coming out...guy caught a 5kg shad at mpame off the point...
wow, that must been a fight and a half!!
im heading that way end of july, hope they still there around that time!!
i got the pic off another site, sure the chap who caught it wont mind this pic being spread!well done2 whoever it is, thats awsim, apparently he caught it on 10pound as well!

The Natal Witness on Saturday 6th June in it's fishing report said the following;
"Angling has picked up quite well particularly down in the Transkei where anglers are catching some very good size shad. These fish seem to be at all spots down there and quotas can be caught very quickly. Some garrick have been reported in the Hole In The Wall and Port St Johns areas but are not there in big numbers just yet. Some fair size kob are also coming out in these areas and are all being caught mainly at night with Strike Pro lures. For anglers who target bigger fish there are now plenty of big sharks and skates around. Raggies in particular have given anglers some great fun as some of there fish have been reported in the 200 kg range. Duskys and spinner sharks have also been caught on a regular basis down here."
I will be there on Wednesday for a week, will update you when I get back.

Was there 2week ago,got a 140kg raggie at msikaba,lots of shad,blak tip sharks and big greys of sharks point

That's strange I'm busy eating that very same shad while I'm typing here, what a coincidence. The guy in the photo is a friend of mine Blake Edwards, his dad owns the hotel at Mpamie. Yes he won't mind the photo being put on and yes it was caught on 10pound. We're going there again next weekend, will give feedback.
