Transducer mounting instalation

Hey guys

Can any of you maybe plese assist me i got myself a fishfinder and would like to install it im having a jarvis marine watersnake inflatable how can i mount the transducer without damaging the boat and so that the fishfinder wil work sufficiently please?

if you guys can post fotos of your own setups i would appreciate it allot just to give me an idea on what i should do?

Mount the transducer on the transom of the boat, just 2 small screws and you'll have zero issues.

Mount the transducer on the bottom of the trolling motor...
or on the inside of the boat.. google mounting a transducer

Yes mounting the transducer on the trolling motor is an option, but no everyone myself included use trolling motors and there is a possibility of electrical interference.

With a side or rear mounting it would be best having a spring loaded or latched system in case you come across weed where you have to lift the trolling motor to use the oars or lift the transducer bracket .....

Hi Swarley I've seen a similar clamp before, works well. Any ideas where to get one of those clamps tho?

I mounted a transducer on my Jackel trolling motor but it picks up a lot of electrical interference... best bet is to get a bracket or mount directly on the transom.

how would you mount it directly onto the transom without causing any damages or leaks on the boat?

i also have a jarvis boat, i just drilled it with the correct size bit and used the supplied screws, just dont go too deep, you can maybe fill the hole with silicone and then screw it in. i have a leak, but it is not due to that, i think i have a hole in the floor somewhere.

I wont mount a transducer on a electric motor or any motor for that matter. You will have interference on the screen.

Make yourself an S-bracket out of flat bar and mount the transducer onto that. when you hit shallow water simply unhook and leave it in the boat. Mounting in on the inflatable transom I will also steer clear of.

sooner or later you will hit the bottom and break the bracket off.

Swarly81 - has the same idea. it works it is out the way and easy to transport an use.
