hey guys

wonder if you can help me?

my local fishing shop has stopped stocking daichi hooks,
he says that the cost has gone up on them. and people are not really buying them as much any more because they are becoming to expensive

i'd like to ask what hooks do you use? and what are prices?

other thing what line are you guys using to make your traces with?

thanks

Its a personal choice but I use Linx Scud hooks and Double X Line for the traces. Use 18pound line for the trace and then 7 pound line for the hooklinks.

hi Pi

thanks i've found the gauge of the linx hooks to be a bit thick for my liking

i like the thinner wire hooks.

i've never really tested if a small floaty will keep those hooks afloat or not.

some of the lines that i've used for traces seem to kink and twist
so i was looking for an alternative line that soft and has very little memory

try fear none scud hooks, do the lines twist or kink whilst building the trace or after u fished for a while.

hi PI

the lines usually kink fish after i fish or when i store them away in the little plastic bank packets,

i do get very little kink taking place when i build the trace, but thats usually close to the knot.

becuase of that i am looking for a nice soft supple line to make traces with that has a very low memory?

I normally rebuild all my traces I use during a fishing trip, I wont store them for long. I also dont have more than 30 traces in my box. The hooks needs to be re-looked at and the line should have taken a beating especially if snags are present in the water. I will rather rebuold than loosing that big one that might put me in the money....
