I noticed they were a bit heavy, but im nerves to go the HMG root as im a bit rough with my tackle, i was looking at the pentegon med with heavy tip but its a R1000 more than i was looking to send.

@ nemesis i see you are in mandeni, have the diamonds been around? or has it started to taper off?
The Pentagon medium with the heavy tip is another brilliant rod.Diamonds are around bro,but they not thick as usual. The water was really cold the last 2months,but the water has really warmed up recently with the Southwind that we have had recently. So they should come thick now.

i heard that's its not a normal graphite but a carbon firbe rod hence the price?

any comments please?
Hey im not sure, but the walls of the rod are thicker then my other rods. Its action is very similar to an Assassin Heavy, just a little bit stiffer i would think. It comes with two tips and full fuji components,so for the price its absolutely worth it.

I have a toray medium Assassin, it casts well but I have not caught anything with it. Barry Wareham of Basil Manning indicated that Toray graphite is much stronger and not as 'brittle' as HMG.

I've got the med Torray custom made for my grinder 2X tips.

Awesome rod for very reasonable price think it was R2500.00 custom built with 2 tips.

Its super strong for a med rod and got some big fish on that rod this year got a sandy of 50kgs on it.

It throws a mile and takes alot of punishmnet. suites me just fine i've broken a few rods in my time.

I can just imagine the heavy is a beast!
