Nah, thats why we're going on these dates, Vusi, explained that we need to do the trip prior to the 16th of Dec as thats the time those sandton yuppies with their plastic 4x4's pitch up to go do some safe canned diving in clear water.......::S

just a question what lures etc work the best at basslake

Watermelon red fat alberts, lil' critter craws, matermelon seed charteuse deadringers, all rigged carolina (25cm) or small sliding texas over, alongside the ledges in sometimes just into the water anywhere really.... oh and my soft plastic swimbaits, currently not jet poured one (but real soon) but will be taking three variants of Kurper immitations with....

Early morning, (just before sunrise) top water Zara spooks (pooper mouth) and really huge lures (like the mann's 30cm jelly worm on a 8/0 wide gap) in the grass close to the launch....

At night, anything that gives off the slightest of movement carolina rigged and deadsticked.... almost like papgooi::S::S::S

@Duane, ;st trip there about three weeks ago saw two of landing 76 odd fish for the day with dorothy then weighing 3.68.... we always catch like crazy, you must have been the lukiest guy to have stayed in henley, i 2 would fish myself bankcrupt and then some.......
