just some advise.feel free to use it.

 

when you drive past a dam do you spend 30min just looking at it?do yourself a favour look at a dam and keep record of it like water level etc.structure points.spend time early mornings and look where carp is feeding.they do tell you where they swim.

keep rekords of how you fishing and what you see.the biggest thing look at the condition off the fish.

you will master it quick if you spend time on a venue dont wait till some catches a big fish.it could and should have been you.you cant catch fish if the line is in the garage waiting for some one to report back.

Time spent at the water, weather that is with a rod or just taking the dog for a walk.

Look at what the fish would be feeding on, where they are, and what routes they seem to take. In some of the very clear waters like the quarries this is even easier.

Any predatory fish wants a place it can hide from bigger predators, a place it can hide from the elements, and a place it can ambush prey. Look for spots that has these qualities.

Even carp will come and feed in shallow gravel/sand patches, but will want a place they can dash too.

When you get that big one on it doesnt just turn and run blindly, it has a place it's heading to that would be it's natural hiding place.
