Gents, your thoughts please. I have done a bit of exploratory drop shotting from the beach and a bit from the boat. I want to get a bit more serious this year. I have the rods and reels, so thats not the problem. I have read NielG's stuff and the info is great. I just want to confirm a few things about the terminal setup. I have the braid, which is attached to about 2m of fluoro leader with an improved 7 turn uni knot. To this I tie the jig heads directly. I do not put swivels on. This is obviously asking for trouble, but I try and keep as few connections in my line as possible. What is the correct setup for the offshore or beach scene. Would it be a 2m leader of normal mono (to stop the braid cutting your fingers when you cast) attached to an appropriate power swivel which is then attached to a 1m flouro leader? I would use a similar setup for the surf stuff just with smaller diameter lines.
