lol.... I find that sorghum works very well for Kurper, i think it changes the ph lvl in the water which the fish really like.

iv found poultry feed to work best as ground feed and its really cheap. i pay R21-00 for 5kg bags.
soak for 24hours and boil for 30mins.when you soak it the sunflower seeds come to the surface so remove them with a siv or something as they say it too much isnt good for carp.

King... sommer at spar or pick&pay. Chick-Chick no 2 is my favourite, but it doesnt have as many particles.

you can get it at any supermarket......
for summer fish tend to look for sweeter things so when you soaking it 1st put in a kettle of boiling water in the bucket, add like a table spoon or 2 of crude black molasses and then put in the feed and top up with more water if need be.

oh and thers sorgum in the poultry feed as well so if you look at it its a particle blend on its own. if you want maybe add mini tiger nuts, maple peas, chick peas, some whole kernal maize and hemp....

Casting mate and I am not the best at casting yet so the distance won't be huge.. :(

The dam we will be fishing is Grootdraai and the water line has risen from about 25 meters down to 99% full, the ground under water has been out of the water fro a good couple months and the water only took back the land 2 weekend ago. (Hope the extra detail helps) Would say 100 meters out is between 2 and 2,5 meter deep.

This had given great results

Im guessing the Rumevite block mentioned in the first part of the thread takes a bit longer to attract the fish than some of the other mixtures mentioned, so if say I wont get a chance to pre-bait the place a day earlier it's probably better to use the ones which dont take that long to attract the fish yes...? This maroek, is it the brown stuff smells kinda like malt or fermented stuff? I think I saw the guys at Western Accessories selling them in 5kg bags & one guy bought about 10 bags before the long weekend in September......mm...

For the Kariba bream in Zim we use a "game block" apparently the Urea content is many of the cattle blocks are deadly to fish (& not in a good way)
