Tips For Blue Lagoon

With North Pier gone I have decided to give Blue Lagoon a go.

Could you please tell me where you guys have the most success. Is it better to fish near the canoe club or where the waves break at the mouth.

Front of the pier and in the mouth.

Although, the best fish (very nice size kingie +-2.5kg) I've seen on dropshot was in the Lagoon near the mouth but on the north banks near the mangrove reserve.

I suppose, the advantage with dropshot, is you can walk,wade and fish the whole stretch in one outing!!!

hey guys ! did some dropshot at the mouth today ! water was absolutely beautiful ! i just sat der and admired its sheer beauty for bout and hour now. thts wat makes a great fishing trip an of coarse 40 cm Gurnard unfortunately i didn take a pic but it did give me good fight ! and u know as fast as he came he went ! wat a feeling to release and let him fight another day ! was using sensation pearl not sure wat colour tho ! O And since i am using nylon 8lb i did miss a few !something also shredded one of the lures ! teeth marks look more lik fang marks ! DAMN i wonder wat he was !guess its just another story of the one who got away hey ! anyways thts my report

Howzit Bushman, if u staying near the ABSA stadium, then u are less than 5min's from blue lagoon, get on NMR avenue, now called Masabala yengwe (not sure about that Name lol), and get on the north bound :):eek:op::MJ), u will soon arrive at a set of robots with an Engen garage on your right, at this robo, turn right and u'll be heading towards the sea, continue on this road till it ends in a t-junction, at the t-junction turn left, and travel to a traffic circle (~50m), and park anywhere, wher there's parking available (left or right), and the blue lagoon river mouth, is right in front of u...

Happy fishing.. if u have no luck at the mouth, then move up the river system to the bridge, i've had some luck there before...
